Fiddleheads Garden Center is a family owned business that opened their doors in 2011. Despite what many imagine, opening a garden center was not the original plan. Owner, Sam Brown, upon graduating from the University of Georgia, had worked tirelessly for landscape architecture firms in Atlanta. He began his career stuck behind a desk for hours each day but found no satisfaction in sitting on his rear. He ultimately wanted to pursue a career in which he was in the field doing what he loved most. When the time became right, Sam reconnected with an old friend, Erik Gallman, which would soon be his business partner. Their love for plants and determination is what got Fiddleheads off the ground. Beginning in July of 2011 Sam and Erik worked days and nights to have Fiddleheads perfect for the grand opening on October 1st. After a successful first year Sam was hit with devastating news that his partner had unexpectedly passed away. Sam lost crucial part of Fiddleheads that day but with the help of many he was able to get back on his feet and persevere. With the hard work and dedication of Sam and our other staff members we were able to expand our store in 2017! We opened a 5,000 square foot gift shop that includes apparel, home décor, and jewelry.
